Pumpkin Pie Dump Cake

Updated on November 23, 2013

Easy To Make

Have you ever been to a potluck dinner and enjoyed one of the dishes so much that you had to get the recipe? This particular cake was served at a potluck during a Thanksgiving meal three years ago. I pulled out the recipe the other day to make for another potluck. It was easy to make and very tasty!

How To Make It

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. To begin, beat four egg whites until stiff. Add one cup sugar, one can pumpkin pie mix, one twelve ounce can of evaporated milk, and four teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice. Mix these together until well blended. After spraying the pan with non-stick cooking spray, dump the mixture into a large pyrex casserole dish.

Sprinkle one dry yellow cake mix over the pumpkin mixture. Drizzle two sticks of butter or butter substitute on top and add one cup of nuts. Do not stir or mix. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour. Cool before serving. I served my cake with cool whip. Enjoy!
