Quick and Easy Crock Pot Spaghetti

My family LOVES spaghetti. NOt just any spaghetti, but my home made spaghetti. Although I do enjoy cooking, after a long day at work, it is the last thing I want to do. When I discovered how fabulous cooking with a crock pot could be, I quickly tweaked my spaghetti recipe, and developed this super easy combo that my family loves.
You will need a standard large crock pot for this recipe.
Prep time: About 5 minutes if using frozen, pre-cut veggies. If you want to use fresh veggies, add about 10 minutes ot the prep time, depending on how fast you can chop those veggies up.
1-2 pounds ground meat of your choice (I generally use low fat ground beef, sometimes will go half beef, half italian sausage) You can also use soy crumbles in place of meat.
2 large cans (26.5 oz) or 2 jars spaghetti sauce of your choice (I use the Hunts brand cans - and let my daughter pick out which flavors)
1 bag frozen pepper and onion mix (I also add an extra cup of frozen chopped onions, but this is optional based on your preferences) - You can use fresh of course, I just use frozen because I can always have the ingredients on hand and it is super easy.
1 spaghetti seasoning packet
1 tablespoon italian seasoning
2 teaspoons garlic powder
Layer the veggies on the bottom of the crockpot. Sprinkle the spaghetti seasoning packet over the veggies. Crumble the meat (or meatless) selection over the veggies. Sprinkle the garlic and italian seasoning over the meat(less). Pour the spaghetti sauce over everything. Cover and set to cook on high for 4 hours.
Serve over noodles cooked according to package directions, or simply over steamed veggies. Enjoy!
