Taffy Apple Salad

3.8 stars from 5 ratings of Laffy Apple Salad

Now the name "Taffy Apple Salad" is a little misleading. It's not a typical fruit type salad and there is also no "taffy" (the candy) in it. However, it is delicious! And if you promised to bring dessert to a potluck dinner party, and the day just happened to get away from you... well this is going to be a great savior for you! It's a simple recipe which is quick and painless. Lets get started!

Taffy Apple Salad can also be made with nut clusters (I prefer snickers!).

Cook Time

Prep time: 15 min
Ready in: 15 min
Yields: Serves 6-8 people

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 1 Tub (16 oz) Cool Whip
  • 2 large Green Apples, Chopped
  • 1 Can Pineapples, Chopped
  • 2-3 full bars Snickers
  1. Chop up the Green apples into bite size pieces. The pineapples can be purchased already chopped in a can (great time saver).
  2. Unwrap the Snickers bars and just pull each bar apart until they are in tiny pieces. If it is easier for you, you can also chop it up with a knife. I prefer pulling it apart, then you get more of a caramel-y feel to it!
  3. In a seperate bowl, stir the brown sugar and cool whip until they have completely mixed together into one texture.
  4. Now add the chopped up apples, pineapples, and snickers to the coolwhip and brown sugar mix. Stir it up until everything is completely covered by the coolwhip mix.
  5. Now, just cover and place in the fridge while you get yourself dressed and ready for the party!

Sounds scrumptious, Nora411. You have a winner in this one. I hate to do this but you need to spell check before posting. You are missing a t in texture above. Don't feel bad. I have to go back and edit mine all the time. Otherwise, I have to try this one. Good work. Keep it up.
