Recipe: Kale Chips

Updated on May 1, 2015

  • Kale, Stems removed
  • Salt, To Taste
  • Cooking Spray

  1. Tear the leaves off the stems of the kale and tear into small pieces. Dry well, I cannot stress that enough. The kale will not crisp up if it is even the tinniest bit wet.
  2. Lay evenly over a baking sheet.
  3. Sprinkle salt to taste.
  4. Spray some cooking spray over the top. This adds a little oil without all the fat and calories. Any cooking spray will work fine, I used canola oil spray but you can also use butter or olive oil.
  5. Bake in the oven at 425 degrees for 5-7 minutes or until crisp.
  6. Enjoy!!

That is literally it, these chips are so simple and taste great. If they are a little too bland for you, here are some optional toppings:

  • Chili powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Red Pepper flakes
  • Parmesan Cheese

There are so many different things, find your favorite and enjoy.
