Salmon Marinated And Grilled
Fast and Easy
Cooking salmon fillets on a gas grill is quite fast. In this recipe the salmon was cooked in ten minutes. I served this meal with two salads that I had prepared earlier on in the day. Rice or potatoes and a vegetable would go great with this meal as well.
An hour before cooking the salmon it was marinated in the marinade below.
Cook Time does not include 1 hour for marinade
Ingredients For Marinade
Whisk the following ingredients in a bowl
- 1 TBS. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3 TBS. Lemon Juice
- 2 TBS. Soy Sauce
- 2 TBS. Honey
- 1 TBS. Ginger Powder
- Fresh Ground Pepper
Once You Have the Marinade Made
Place Salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish. Cover and refrigerate.
I used 8 4oz or 117 gram salmon fillets. If your fillets are larger you may need to cook them longer than the ten minutes I stated above.
Preparing Your Grill
Preheat your barbecue to medium. For the salmon fillets I used a barbeque grill pan that is non-stick and makes life easier when it comes time to clean up. If you do not have one of these I would recommend placing a double layer of heavy duty aluminum foil sprayed with cooking oil, on the grill before cooking the salmon.
Grills All Ready Let's Get Cooking
Once your grill is heated place salmon on the grill and baste it with the marinade sauce frequently. Flip salmon over after 4 - 5 minutes and continue basting until cooked.
