Restaurant Review : La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant in Greensboro, NC

La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina is a fairly large and spacious Mexican restaurant with very adequate seating options.

Our family usually requests a booth when we dine out in restaurants. We prefer a restaurant booth for a more quiet and appealing restaurant dining experience away from the more center tables in the hustle and bustle of everything.

La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina appears to be a popular and frequented restaurant in the area but it was not overly busy and crowded during the times that we went there.

**********************************************************************************************

Once restaurant patrons are settled in their seats at La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant, bowls of fresh nacho chips and salsa dip are brought to their tables. This is complimentary as is standard at many Mexican restaurants in the area. The complimentary nacho chips at La Fiesta Mexican restaurant were very fresh and tasty as was the salsa dip.

A favorite drink that the kids and I like to share sometimes at Mexican Restaurants is a nonalcoholic pina colada. It pleases the kids and me most when we have our whipped cream and maraschino cherry on top. Some drinking water and our pina colada can be enjoyed along with our nacho chips and salsa, while we are waiting for our other appetizers and entrees to be prepared and brought to the restaurant table.

DESSERT:

Sometimes we skip our virgin pina colada at the start of the meal so that we can indulge in a rich and decadent shared dessert at the end of the meal, without being overly indulgent.

  • At La Fiesta Mexican restaurant, we enjoyed the fried ice cream for dessert. Fried ice cream is a very popular Mexican dessert and at this particular restaurant, La Fiesta, the fried ice cream included corn flakes as a topping! It was rich French Vanilla ice cream frozen hard and coated with corn flakes for that “fried” ice cream effect, all in a crispy fried tortilla bowl with whipped cream and a cherry on top.
  • Among the other dessert option choices that we did not partake of were Mexican flan and sopadilla for example.

Now after the appetizers and before the desserts at La Fiesta Mexican restaurant, you will find a plethora of menu options for the main entrée. Pork carnitas is an example of one main dish that my family enjoys at Mexican restaurants such as La Fiesta. At La Fiesta restaurant, the pork in the pork carnitas main entrée was served in large chunks while I had expected that there would be smaller and more shredded piece of pork as is often typical of carnitas, but no complaints here. We were actually pleasantly surprised by the presentation of the dish and the larger chunks of meat. Then, the well cooked pieces of meat did tear easily with the knife and fork and the meat was tender, not overly dried out.

  1. Burrito, tacos, enchiladas, chile relleno are just among the many other items that we might enjoy.
  2. At La Fiesta Mexican restaurant in Greensboro, NC, there is an ample Mexican sampler dish that is priced around $12.99.
  3. There is a large assortment of items on this sampler platter including chicken chimichangas. Everything is fresh and delicious.
  4. Avocado and lime are among my favorite garnishes offered on various items that are served at Mexican restaurants and none were lacking here.

La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant has a very wide array of menu options.
