Restaurant review for the restaurant Natty Greene’s Kitchen & Market in Greensboro, North Carolina

Natty Greene’s Kitchen & Market, often called Natty Greene’s K & M, is located at 2003 Yanceyville Street in Greensboro, North Carolina. On the same street, well past the Children’s Home Society and the Red Cross offices, you will approach the large campus for a beer brewery, with sprawling green lawns, a creek and walking bridges for example. One of the more centrally located buildings on this campus is the building that houses Natty Green’s Kitchen & Market. Various beer, wine and spirits are sold at Natty Greene’s. There is also a butcher shop with cuts of lamb and various other meats, and a sit down and dine restaurant. On a recent visit, my family and I went to the restaurant at Natty Greene’s and beyond the parking lot, we enjoyed the refreshing walk across the walking bridge and over the creek to get to the restaurant.

At Natty Greene’s Kitchen and Market, I noticed a sign on the door about the closing of the restaurant just one day prior so that it could be used as the venue for a wedding reception. I thought, how nice! There was just a wedding here.

As we opened the door to enter ourselves, on this our first visit to the restaurant, I noticed how smiling and friendly the staff at the restaurant were with greetings and we were seated very promptly. We requested a table booth and the worked out just fine.

As you look around the restaurant, Natty Greene’s Kitchen and Market, you will notice how spacious it is, and with very high ceilings as well.

The restaurant at Natty Greene’s

The restaurant at Natty Greene’s has some rustic charm with a weathered wood look to the ceiling and huge panel windows letting in lots of natural light. We had arrived at the Natty Greene’s Kitchen & Market at around 11:30am on a recent Sunday with the plan to partake of the Sunday Brunch offered at restaurant. The availability of the brunch was going to be ending at around 2pm so we knew that we would have plenty of time available to enjoy our meal and we stayed there enjoying the meal from about 11:30am to 12:15 when we requested to pay our bill. We had taken our time eating and everything was very tasty.

While the Sunday brunch at Natty Greene’s Kitchen & Market is an all you can eat brunch, it is not served buffet style but rather it is served family style. If you opt to dine at the all you can eat Sunday brunch at Natty Greene’s Kitchen & Market, then once seated at your table, you will be given a piece of paper and a pencil where you can write the quantity of various selections of listed foods that you would like to have.

On the list were:

  • Potatoes
  • scrambled eggs
  • bacon
  • biscuits
  • muffins
  • fresh fruit

for example. There was also biscuit gravy available and you are allowed to have selected jellies and jams if you would like to have them. I asked for orange marmalade and it was very good. I really enjoyed it. My youngest son was very fond of the 100% real butter that he found was very tasty as he ate it with his biscuit.

At the time of the writing of this restaurant review hub on HubPages, the current price of the all you can eat Sunday brunch at Natty Greene’s Kitchen & Market is $15 per person for adults and $10 per person for kids.

As you go about eating your delicious family style Sunday brunch at Natty Greene’s Kitchen and Market, your server will occasionally ask if you’d like to request anything more and they will keep your tasty selections coming. If you have run out of blueberry muffins, you can get some more of those or some more fruit for example. Everything at the restaurant was very fresh and tasty and presented well, in an appealing way.

For those that want to eat other foods that are not on the Sunday brunch menu, there is a pleasing selection of many different types of foods including duck which I love to eat. There is a large variety of types of sandwiches offered including a beef brisket sandwich for $10. I just love beef brisket. Maybe I will try that sandwich on my next visit to Natty Greene’s Kitchen and Market. Tomato with basil and mozzarella cheese is another example of a dish that I love and that is offered at this restaurant, Natty Greene’s Kitchen and Market, so maybe I’ll have that next time as well.

Natty Greene's Kitchen & Market is located in a central building on the campus of a brewery. Here are some photos of what the surrounding area looks like.
