"Salmon,Tuna or Mackeral croquettes"

These are tuna croquettes but this recipe can be done with either salmon or mackeral depending on what you want.

Salmon, tuna or mackeral croquettes"

Ingredients: Croquettes

1 - 16 oz. can salmon or mackeral or 3 cans tuna in water

2 1/2 Tbs. corn meal

1 1/2 Tbs. flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1 diced pickled jalapena (optional).

1/3 cup diced oniond

1/3 cup bell pepper

1/2 tsp.garlic powder

1/2 tsp.onion powder

1/2 tsp.salt

1/2 tsp.blk. pepper

2 dashes basil

1 cup canola oil

Directions to prepare:

open can salmon ,mackeral or tuna, put in a bowl and flake into small pieces with your hands or a fork. add corn meal,flour, baking powder,onions,bell pepper, garlic powder,onion powder, jalapena, and mix eggs in.


add: basil, salt, blk. pepper once mixed in, put on skillet with cup of oil and let get hot. Then take a tablespoon and dip up a large amount of the fish mixture on the spoon and put in hot oil. take spoon and form a patty wtih the spoon and dip more out and form another patty until all mixture is cooked to a golden brown, be careful beacuse they will become dark.

Once done, you can eat them with a meal or as an appetizer, it's all up to you . They really tasty and delicous just by themselves.

      oh these sound wonderful i will have to try this recipe out..I make something similiar but they are salmon patties..i love salmon and tuna also..so i will try and i'm sure i will love them..thank you for sharing :o)

      OMG! I have'nt had croquettes in years! You've just taken me back 20 years or more. Thanks for this flashback in time. I never knew how to make them, I would just watch my mom make them herself. You know what creativeone59, I think you should write a cookbook with all those simple and delectable foods we all used to eat when we were growing up.
