Here's a Gift for You She Says

My cousin arrived at my family reunion and handed me a small jar and said, "here's a jar of Peach Salsa for you to try."

Well. Today I opened the jar and stuck a spoon in it to try the flavor. The sweet flavor of peach struck my tongue immediately and I was also aware of a slight pepper flavor.

Thanks, Diane. I am now addicted to Peach salsa. Thanks a lot!!!!!

It's Like

It's like peach jam, or a peach pie, that is infused with pepper. Have you ever ate pepper jelly that has jalapenos in it. Well. This was like that. Hot, but sweet and you forgive it for the heat when the sweet taste takes over.

It's delicious. This particular jar says that it is from Dahle Gardens in Monticello, Minnesota. Kudos to them for their creation. It's great! I may have to take a road trip to get some more some day. I live about 90 miles south of there, so it'll take me about 2 hours to procure another jar.

Smile. Small price to pay for good salsa.

We had an over-abundance of peaches last year from our two small peach trees, and peach salsa was one way I dealt with all those peaches. I don't know how to can/jar, so I just made it fresh like in the video. It was delicious on grilled chicken and fish! Peaches, onions and peppers go very well together, believe it or not! :)
