A Savory Fruit Pie
I just made one from scratch tonight. A savory fruit pie made from fresh blueberries and made with a crumb crust. I love the double crusted or lace crusted pies too but didn't have enough to make two crusts so I went with the crumb crust. The photos show blueberry pies and looking at them makes me want to bite right in but there are so many kinds of fruit pies that make a savory dessert. When I was a child my favorite was most definitely peach pie. My grandmother would make it when we would visit her on Sunday's and it didn't take long for that savory fruit pie to become top on my list.
Other favorites include red raspberry pie, apple and cherry.
One that is a little different and not readily available that I've tried just a few times is concord grape pie. A little similar to blueberry but has the strong grape taste.

A small shop just opened in our small town. It's a little storefront that just sells fruit pies. Imagine that. It took a while but once the word got around, the place began getting busier and busier as this business owner knew the secret of making mouthwatering savory fruit pies.
