Schezwan Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg Chicken, Cut into cubes
  • 2 Capsicum, Cut into cubes
  • 1 Cabbage, Cut into cubes
  • 2 Carrots, Cut into cubes
  • 3 Green Chillies, Sliced
  • 2 tbsp Ginger, Chopped
  • 2 tbsp Garlic, Chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Ketchup
  • 1/2 Cup Chilli Garlic Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp White Pepper
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 1 Cup Chicken Stock
  • Green onions, For Garnishing
  • 1/2 Cup Green Beans
  • 2 Red Chillies, Sliced
  1. In a pan heat oil, add ginger and garlic to it. Cook until ginger and garlic are golden in colour. (Make sure you continuously stir it, otherwise it might burn or turn dark brown)
  2. Once ginger and garlic is golden, add chicken to it. Cook for 2 minutes and then add chicken stock in it.
  3. Add white pepper, black pepper, salt, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, chilli flakes, ketchup and chilli garlic sauce to the chicken.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Now add capsicum, cabbage, carrots, green beans, green chillies, red chillies and cook them for another 5 minutes.
  6. Turn off the heat. Garnish it with green onions.
  7. Schezwan Chicken is ready to be served.
  8. Serve it with plain rice or garlic rice.
