How to cook Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits Using Pancake mix

Updated on August 26, 2013

  • 2 1/2 cups Bisquick
  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk (or 2%)
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 heaping cup Cheddar Cheese, Grated
  • To brush on top: .
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon Parsley flake
  • Pinch Salt

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. In a medium bowl, combine Bisquick with cold butter, stir with large butter knife until chunks of butter are broken up into pea size amounts. (Don’t mix too thoroughly-- this gives the biscuits a crunchy textured flavor) Add cheese, milk, and ¼ teaspoon garlic powder. Mix by hand until combined (a large spoon is fine too if you don’t want to get messy). Again, do not over-mix the batter.
  3. Drop approximately ¼ cup portions (actually using a measuring cup works nicely) of the doughy batter onto an un-greased cookie sheet--(Use an ice cream scooper or dry measuring cup to measure the amounts)
  4. Bake for 15-17 minutes, or until tops of biscuits start to turn light brown.
  5. When you remove the biscuits from the oven, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a small bowl; (in the microwave) To that, stir in ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, and ¼ teaspoon of the dried parsley flake. Brush over the top of biscuits and serve.
