This is a very easy dish to make. You can order this at a Chinese restaurant. There is only a few ingredients you need. It is a quick recipe, I promise. You will need:

12 medium Shrimps ( peeled )

a dash of salt

a dash of white pepper

a few drops of sesame oil

Two tablespoons of cooking oil

1/4 pound of Ground Pork

minced or chopped Garlic

One tablespoon of Black Bean Garlic Sauce (Lee Kum Kee Brand works best for me)

Two tablespoons of Cornstarch mixed in cold water (for gravy)

One tablespoon of Soy Sauce (You can use Lo Sodium one instead if you prefer.)

One Egg (scrambled)

boiling water

Heat your Wok with one tablespoon of cooking oil. Put in minced garlic and Shrimps. Add salt and white pepper. Take it out while it is half cooked. Put in one tablespoon of cooking oil. Add one tablespoon of Black Bean Garlic Sauce and Ground Pork. Mix it till Pork is done. Put in the Shrimps. Pour the boiling water and add the Soy Sauce. Stir in the Cornstarch mixture. It should look like gravy now. Add egg. Do not over stir the mixture. The egg should look like marble, like the Egg Drop Soup. Serve over Steamed Rice. You got yourself a meal.

Hi tim-tim. Being mostly "veggie" I would leave out the pork but it's a great recipe! Thanks again for the nice hub. I hope you get time from your busy life to write some more soon.

"Do not over stir the mixture".. this is the key part of this recipe, or youll not be able to tell the difference between shrimp and egg.

      Great recipe surely try it..

I have been looking for a Shrimp and Lobster Sauce Recipe with " Dark Sauce ". Do you have one ? I use dark soy sauce and fermented black beans but I do not get the Right Flavor.

That should be good! You can add Oyster Sauce. It is my favorite.
