Side Dish for Veg Biryani - Raw Vegetable salad
This side dish goes well with the spicy vegetable biryani recipe. This is a healthy as well a very tasty dish. Very easy to prepare, it takes very little time, so can be made quickly.
Carrot 1 small
Cucumber 1/4 of a whole
Green chili 1
Ginger a small piece (optional)
Salt - to taste.
Cut onion and cucumber into rings or chop them fine if you like it that way, tomato into small pieces and carrot into small rounds.(The picture here shows only chopped onions and tomatoes and no carrot).
Or if you like carrot grated, then you may grate it and keep it separately.
Cut green chili into tiny pieces or 2 or 3 pieces as you wish.
Mix the vegetables except grated carrot, add salt and mix well with hand.
Add the juice of half a small lime.
Prepare this salad one hour before serving.
Add the grated carrot when you serve.
Serve with chapati or any spicy rice.
