Almond Butter mmmm

this recipe  makes 4 to 5 dozen almond cookies

Cook Time

Prep time: 20 min
Cook time: 15 min
Ready in: 35 min
Yields: 4 to 5 dozen

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup almond butter, smooth
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda, dissolved into water
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Cream together the brown sugar with butter. Next add almond butter, 1 egg and soda mixing between ingredients. Slowly mix in the flour.
  3. Roll the dough into small balls and place on the cookie sheet. Press down with a fork. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom. Serve and Enjoy!

      I love almonds too, we don't have peanut butter in our house anymore (that's another hub!), I use "MaraNatha" brand almond butter, it's smooth just like a smooth peanut butter, no salt or sugar added, it's 100% roasted almonds. If you have access to the product it's a good one. But you can always make your own butter Cardisa, almonds and a blender is all you need. ;O)

      Eye say! Voted up, useful, and awesome--and for all the vegetarians out there, this is great (can use egg-replacer in place of the eggs.) They look totally delicious, and I love almond butter! Nice one!!

      @vespawoolf; really easy to digest, a great alternative to peanut butter cookies which I love but I'm supposed to eat almond butter... easy to make, hope you enjoy.
