Simple Pasta Dinner
It's the busiest time of the year again. With so many things to do during the day, it can be hard to find time to make a homemade meal. However, a delicious meal doesn't have to take long to prepare. Here is a simple dinner that tastes great and can be made quickly. First, you'll need:
1 Package Spaghetti (or favorite pasta)
1 Jar Pasta Sauce
1 Loaf French Bread
2 Tbs. Butter
Follow instructions for pasta on preparation. While pasta is cooking, preheat oven to broil and cut bread into slices. Melt butter in microwave (about 15-20 seconds). Add a pinch of crushed basil and 1/2-1 tsp. garlic powder and mix. Spread butter over bread slices and place slices on baking sheet. Place baking sheet in oven (note- bread will toast very fast, so keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't burn). By now, the pasta should be close to finished. Drain pasta and add sauce (sauce can be preheated or cold, depending on preference). Remove garlic bread from oven, transfer to plate and cover. Dice tomatoes, and add to salad along with lettuce and broccoli. Add dressing (for a healthier alternative, add a tsp. of lemon juice to salad, and perpper to taste). You now have a delicious three course meal to serve to your family. Enjoy!
