Sinless Smoothies –Healthy and Tasty

Smoothies are a blended, chilled beverage usually made using fresh or frozen fruit, honey or frozen yogurt with crushed ice.  Some smoothies only have fruit. Smoothies have a milkshake like consistency but they don’t usually contain ice cream but many do contain milk.  They have become very popular over the last several years and many people have a smoothie for breakfast.

Fruit smoothies are popular with health conscious people and they are very nutritional.  All berries and most fruit are high in antioxidants.  For the health conscious people many smoothies have green team soy milk, whey powder, herbal supplements or some types of nutritional supplements.  A fruit smoothie is a great fast way to get some nutrition in the morning for those people who don’t want to eat a meal.

These look really good, especially the Wake Up smoothie. One thing I always have trouble with is blending the blueberries. More than half the time, they come out pulpy and inedible. Any suggestions?

Kiwi, I would hold out the blueberries until last and pulse for just a second or you could stir them in by hand after the rest of the smoothie is complete. Thanks for your comments.

I love the smoothies at Jamba Juice (I think their all-fruit smoothies are rather healthy). But I could never been able to make them at home as good as what they have at their store. What is their secret?

peacefulparadox, I am not sure what the difference might be but you can ask the store what ingredients they use and maybe they will tell you. I appreciate your comments.

YUMMMM! I am starting to put my smooties in the Avon Ice Pop molds and eat them as Ice Pops when it is hot and I need to cool down. You can replace the milk with Almond Milk or Coconut milk and same with the yougurt, but it will not be as thick. I also use honey or Stevia to sweetened mine. I love smoothies!

Ah, sinless smoothies. Another great use for honey! What brand of blender do you find works the best? My blender is on it's last legs and I need to get a new one (maybe I make too many pina coladas and it can't cope).
