Six Easy Ground Beef Meal Ideas

Wondering what to cook for dinner? If you have a package or two of lean ground beef in your freezer, there are plenty of dishes you can make. All you need to get started are a few basic ingredients a bit of imagination!

Any time that you need to prepare a tasty meal quickly, go ahead and thaw enough beef to prepare a meal for your family and start browning it on your stovetop. By the time it’s cooked, you’re sure to have an idea of something you can make that your whole family will enjoy!

Here are six ideas for easy meals that you can make quickly and easily with ground beef to help you get started!

Six Easy Ground Beef Meal Ideas

Once your ground beef is cooked, spoon it into a colander and rinse it to remove any excess fat. As soon as you’ve done that, you’ll be ready to begin assembling one of these tasty meals!

1. Cheesy Beef and Pasta

Make your favorite macaroni and cheese recipe and stir in some ground beef just before serving.

2. Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

Prepare your favorite homemade marinara sauce recipe or heat a can or jar of prepared spaghetti sauce; add ground beef and simmer for approximately 30 minutes. Serve over cooked spaghetti.

3. Pasta Bake

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 10 & 13 casserole dish, mix together about 8 ounces of cooked pasta in your favorite shape, 3 cups of tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce, one or two pound of cooked ground beef and your favorite Italian or Creole seasoning mix. Bake approximately 30 minutes or until heated through; sprinkle with shredded Mozzarella or Provolone cheese prior to serving. For variation, add a drained can of whole kernel corn prior to baking.

4. Tacos

Prepare your favorite taco seasoning recipe or prepare a package of taco seasoning according to the directions. Add to ground beef and simmer until heated through. Spoon into hard corn tortillas or wrap in soft flour tortillas; add your favorite taco toppings (like lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, etc.) and enjoy.

5. Nacho

Season ground beef with homemade or prepared taco seasoning Place a layer of tortilla chips on a microwave safe plate. Spoon the seasoned beef over the top; sprinkle with shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese. Microwave for 60 seconds or until cheese melts. Finish with your favorite toppings. Options include: chopped green onions, chopped black olives, diced tomatoes, guacamole, salsa shredded lettuce, sliced jalapenos, sour cream or anything else you like.

6. Enchilada Casserole

Combine ground beef with a can of enchilada sauce. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 10 X 13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray. Cover the bottom with corn tortillas. Spoon the meat and enchilada sauce mixture over the top; sprinkle with shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese. Repeat with an additional layer or two, ending with cheese. Bake for 30 minutes.

    Nice, so many rare ingredients, it sure looks tasty but unfortunately i can't eat beef, =( my religion doesn't allow this however i can try it with lamb =D
