Strawberry Banana Breakfast Smoothie

A Refreshing Spring or Summer Smoothie
I love having smoothies for breakfast or lunch during spring and summer months. I also love strawberries, and I tend to over-buy during strawberry season. In order to prevent wasting berries that are about to go bad, I cut them in chunks and freeze them to use in these smoothies. Add any type of juice that you like. I prefer to use orange-peach-mango or pineapple-orange-banana when in the states. In Sicily, there is a huge variety of juices that I use.
- 1 cup frozen strawberry chunks, loosely packed
- 1/2 to 1 whole banana
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup fruit juice of choice
- Combine all ingredients in blender (I find it helpful to place the frozen strawberries at the bottom), and blend until smooth.
- Serve and enjoy!
I Love My Magic Bullet!
If you use the blender often for small amounts of product, look into the Magic Bullet. I love my Magic Bullet! I use it for smoothies most of the time, but it can also be used for various other things that don't require the use of the full size blender pitcher. The nice thing is that you can blend right into the mug that you drink your smoothie out of, so you only have to clean one mug rather than the pitcher from the blender and the glass you used. I am all for anything that reduces the number of dirty dishes I have to wash :)
