Now the summer time is here and there is nothing better in the summers than a cool drink which is not only refreshing but also healthy and tasty. Also we all are looking for something for the children. None of us want that children should be drinking lots of colas or aerated drinks in the summers. Children love taste of strawberries and this recipe not only has strawberries but also fresh lime juice which not only quench thirst but also give nutrients and minerals to the body which we lose in summers in perspiration. It is easy to make and ingredients are easily available. For adults mix rum but omit rum if children are going to drink it or if adults do not take any alcohol
- Strawberries: 5
- Mint leaves: 10 fresh.
- Sugar syrup: 3 oz ( recipe in method)
- Rum: 2 Oz or 60 ml (no rum if it is to be served to children).
- Club Soda
- Honey: 2 Tbsp.
- Lime juice: 1 ½ tsp fresh lime juice.
- Lime slices.
- Crushed Ice
- Make sugar syrup by adding equal amount of sugar and water in a pan. Heat till sugar melts and dissolves in water. Then let water cool down to room temperature.
- Take a bowl.
- Place strawberries, mint and ice in the Bowl.
- Blend coarsely with blender.
- Add sugar syrup, lime juice and Rum.
- Now pour this in to a tall glass.
- Add club soda to fill the glass.
- Stir this mixture.
- Garnish with lime slice and one strawberry.
- Serve chilled.
