Some Fun Strawberry Smoothie Recipe Ideas
Wouldn't a Freshly Made Strawberry Smoothie Taste Great Right About Now?
As the long days of summer radiate past, I yearn for those refreshing - time honored - drinks that are so pleasurable and refreshing in the heat of the afternoon. Lemonade, ice tea, and a refreshing strawberry smoothie are some of my favorite summertime treats.
Strawberry smoothies recipes are quick and easy.
There is quite a bit of variety in the concoctions you can mix up with a blender and a little imaginations.
Sure, the calories are there. But, in moderation, there's no harm.
With a bowl of strawberries and a banana or a couple of kiwi fruits you can even entertain those unexpected guests that stop by for a visit in the shade of your front porch.
Kids love them. Those of us who never quite grew up love them. Even normally serious, somber oldsters enjoy a tasty cool drink made fresh with delicious strawberries at the core.
Why not make one today?
You'll Need a Blender
Ice and a blender of some sort. That's about all you'll need beside the fresh fruit and any almond milk or such that is in your concoction.
I used an old Hamilton beach blender for ages. It worked just fine . I could still be using it today. You've probably got a nice blender somewhere in the house already. Ours had been stored away for literally years before we started making smoothies with it.
We'd still be using the Hamilton today if I hadn't broke down and bought one of the new bullet blenders you see all the time on television.
That's the one I selected, over there. The Bella. It was about half the price of the Nutribullet. The Magic Bullet looked like it wouldn't hold up so I chose door number two.
Been using it for about 4 months now this no problems. Love it. It's "quick and easy", as they say.

A strawberry lemonade smoothie can be amazing!
There are many ways to make this smoothie, of course. You can make it with milk or yogurt.
You can include lots of lemon if you like it tart. ( I do!)
You can use a frozen lemonade concentrate and add strawberries and some ice and water.
Here's what I do. It's a little bit different. But it's super easy to make and wildly nutritious.
I take a scoop of Strawberry Shakeology mix* and a half of a peeled lemon. Put them into my Bullet blender and blend .
That's it. I really enjoy one of these healthy smoothies every so often.

Well, everyone loves strawberries covered or dipped in chocolate. But what about a Strawberry Chocolate smoothie?
I don't think the two flavors would blend together well in a smoothie but how about making a simple strawberry smoothie and adding dark chocolate as a side dish?
Actually, you could reverse things and make a chocolate smoothie and dip fresh strawberries into it! :)

A Mango Strawberry Smoothie
Can you use smoothies to replace meals and lose weight?
There is a point of view out there that replacing a meal with a nutritious smoothie can help you drop a few pounds.
The basic idea is to replace one meal a day with a smoothie chocked full of dense nutrition foods like green leafy vegetables and some fruits.
A largely fruit smoothie like the ones mentioned in this article would not qualify because of their high sugar and calorie content.
You would want to have a "green smoothie" as your go to drink if you were following a meal replacement plan of this type.
Does it work?
Well, I'm not a doctor or any type of medical pro, so I can't say anything definitively.
Go ask your doctor, please.
I feel green drinks have helped me but that's anecdotal evidence and might not apply to you. We're all different.

Strawberries are Packed With Nourishment.
What if there was one of those food labels on each strawberry?
It would be good reading!
This relatively low calorie treat is a really good source of antioxidants.
Web MD says 8 strawberries have more Vitamin C than an orange.
The little berries are also a good source of fiber and contain manganese and potassium.
They are delicious, satisfying, and can be made in so many ways. I like 'em fresh from the vine.
