If you love salmon as much as I do you know that salmon is one of the healthiest piece of seafood around it really is a top source of heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids and a really super protein source and above all if prepare well it is so good
There is so many ways to prepare salmon baking, frying, grilling and even smoking and it pairs well with almost anything plus you can spice it up with herb, marinades or even salt and pepper this list can go on and on but today I'm going to give you a recipe on preparing a stuff salmon with a crab and smoke sausage dressing that is super simple and easy to prepare so take this time to read over my recipe and try it ...I will tell you this your family will love the end result.
Stuffed Salmon
Ingredients
To start of making this dish you need some 4oz pieces of fresh salmon skinned removed, now using a sharp knife cut a slit length wise half way through just enough to put the stuffing in now drizzle a teaspoon of olive oil on to your salmon then rub it in then season the salmon with a little bit of sea salt and smoke black pepper cover with plastic wrap then place in the refrigerator because it's time to make the stuffing.
Making The Crab And Smoked Sausage Stuffing
I suggest that when making this stuffing mixture that you use real crab met and I think lump crab meat is the best .
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup lump crab meat, drained
- 4 oz. link of smoked sausage removed from casing
- 1/2 lemon, peeled and segmented
- 1 tsp. fresh cilantro
- 1 Tbs. butter
- 1 egg
- 3 Tbs. all-purpose flour
- A pinch of sea salt
- A pinch of smoked black pepper
Instructions
Combine ingredients carefully to form a mixture being careful to not break up crab more than necessary.
Methods
To begin putting this great mouth watering dish together grab out you salmon from the refrigerator and using a small soup spoon scoop up your dressing then place the dressing between the slit in he salmon no filling it up to cover the salmon but enough to enjoy.
Preheat your oven at 350 degrees.
Grabbing out a cookie sheet and some parchment paper cover the cookie sheet with a piece of the parchment then place your salmon on the covered cookie sheet and bake it the oven for 15-18 minutes at this point take your salmon out of the oven then serve and enjoy.
Suggestions
If you really want to make this dish pop with extra flavor right before you place your salmon in the oven get a lemon cut it in half and squeeze half of lemon over your salmon then place in the oven all I can say is Yum........And happy eating.
