To start of making this dish you need some 4oz pieces of fresh salmon skinned removed, now using a sharp knife cut a slit length wise half way through just enough to put the stuffing in now drizzle a teaspoon of olive oil on to your salmon then rub it in then season the salmon with a little bit of sea salt and smoke black pepper cover with plastic wrap then place in the refrigerator because it's time to make the stuffing.
Making The Crab And Smoked Sausage Stuffing
I suggest that when making this stuffing mixture that you use real crab met and I think lump crab meat is the best .
- 1/2 cup lump crab meat, drained
- 4 oz. link of smoked sausage removed from casing
- 1/2 lemon, peeled and segmented
- 1 tsp. fresh cilantro
- 1 Tbs. butter
- 1 egg
- 3 Tbs. all-purpose flour
- A pinch of sea salt
- A pinch of smoked black pepper
Combine ingredients carefully to form a mixture being careful to not break up crab more than necessary.
To begin putting this great mouth watering dish together grab out you salmon from the refrigerator and using a small soup spoon scoop up your dressing then place the dressing between the slit in he salmon no filling it up to cover the salmon but enough to enjoy.
Preheat your oven at 350 degrees.
Grabbing out a cookie sheet and some parchment paper cover the cookie sheet with a piece of the parchment then place your salmon on the covered cookie sheet and bake it the oven for 15-18 minutes at this point take your salmon out of the oven then serve and enjoy.
If you really want to make this dish pop with extra flavor right before you place your salmon in the oven get a lemon cut it in half and squeeze half of lemon over your salmon then place in the oven all I can say is Yum........And happy eating.
