Handcrafted Summertime Peach Lemonade

Updated on August 3, 2012
4 stars from 1 rating of Summer Peach Lemonade

From the deep south, where it is hot and humid you always need a refreshing and cooling summer drink. One of the best I have found is this summer Peach Lemonade. Here is a recipe from a sweet old lady from Georgia. I have found that it is so refreshing after cutting the grass, or just sitting on the deck on a summer night. Please feel free to modify the recipe to your tastes, as I occasionally replace the water and sugar with either Lemon-lime soda, or Club soda for a little carbonation.

I forgot to add that if you would like it a little more "Adult" you can always add some Peach Schnapps.

This is such a classic Southern recipe! With super-ripe peaches and thawed lemonade concentrate, I bet you could mash everything together by hand, and skip the blender. The lemonade concentrate could boost the calories significantly.

Have you thought about substituting a lemon simple syrup, like the lemon-balm simple syrup in https://hubpages.com/health/10-Uses-For-Lemon-Balm...

Even though the lemon syrup is pure sugar, it doesn't have the high fructose corn syrup or the chemical additives found in lemonade concentrate.

      Hmmmm...
