Super Bowl Party Appetizers
Crab Round Bites
1 can of crab meat (7-1/2 ounce
1 cup swiss cheese (grated)
3/4 cup mayonaise
2 tablespoons green onion
1- 1/4 tablespoon lemon juice (fresh or bottled)
1/4 curry powder
1/3 cup water chestnuts (sliced)
1 can Hungry Jack buttermilk biscuits
Mix crab, cheese, mayonaise, onion, lemon juice and curry power together. Next separate biscuits by layers to make 32 rounds. Place rounds on greased cookie sheet and spoon mixture on biscuit rounds. Top with water chestnuts. Bake in preheated 400 degree F oven for 12 to 14 minutes.Check crab rounds in the last 3 or 4 minutes because oven temperatures will vary.
Yields 32 servings.
Tasty Cheese-Zucchini Bites
This recipe can be made in no time at all and will go quickly so there is no need to double up the recipe.
4 green onion (chopped small)
1/2 cup fresh Parmesan cheese (grated)
6 tablespoons mayonaise
3 zucchini (sliced about 1/4 inch thickness)
MIx together onions, parmesan cheese and mayonaise. Spread on top of the zucchini and broil in oven for approximately 3 minutes.
Mushrooms Stuffed with Sliced Almonds
3 dozen medium to large mushrooms
1/3 cup yellow onion
1/2 cup sliced almonds
2 tablespoon butter or margarine
2 tablespoons canola oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
6 slices swiss cheese (cut each piece into 6 squares)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
Wash and dry mushrooms and remove all stems. Next chop the stems and onions into small pieces. Saute mixture in butter, using a nonstick skillet. Add the salt and pepper. Evenly distribute mixture on all 36 mushrooms and top with 1 square of cheese. Bake for 15 to18 minutes. Serve right away.
Yum Yum No Bake Artichoke Dip
Note: This recipe should be made several hours before serving to have the best flavor achieved.
1- 14 ounce can artichoke hearts (water packed)
1 package Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing MIx
1- cup mayonaise
Begin by draining the artichoke hearts and chopping then very fine. ( Food processor is not recommended) . Mix salad dressing and mayonaise together and add artichokes.
Serve with a firm chip for dipping
