Outdoor Cooking offers over 400 recipes and tips for grilling, barbecuing and cooking using open camp fires with grills and cast iron pots. Cast Iron kettles and pots are available at Cottage Craft Works Sustainable Living General Store.

A cooking and tip book for those living a self-sufficient or outdoor lifestyle. Recipes, cooking tips and humor are handed down from generations of Amish in this over 200 page cookbook.

Outdoor Cooking is far more than just a cookbook; throughout you will find tips on selecting equipment, determining cooking temperatures and the time it takes to cook various meats. The cookbook is also so much more than giving you cooking directions for meats. You can produce a full meal including side dishes, salads and drinks.

The book also provides direction on building wood and charcoal fires and using them safely and seasoning and using cast iron Dutch Ovens and skillets.

The Outdoor Cookbook was published as a fund raising project by the parents and students of a small Amish school located in Ohio. It has since become a popular seller for those seeking ideas and recipes for outdoor cookery. Proceeds from the sale of the book still support the Willow Brook School.

The Outdoor Cookbook even includes a children section filled with children favorite recipes such as different versions of smores, caramel corn, roasted apples, banana boats, and survival bars.
