Sweet Treats on the Grill

Updated on September 7, 2012

Sweet Treat for the Grill

Regardless of what time of the year it is we all love a sweet treat to carry us through. Most think of desserts as something that is to be made in the kitchen or something cold and smooth taken from the freezer but I like to use my grill as much as the others.

One of my favorite recipes to use on the grills quick and simple and oh so heavenly.

Take as many bananas as needed. I like to use one medium size banana per two people.

Peel back the yellow peel on your ripe but still firm banana but do not remove the banana itself.

Once this is done split your banana, using a knife right down the center. Fill the banana with chocolate chips, peanut butter chips or one or the other. Then stuff with marshmallows and place it on the grill. Skin and all. Let it cook on the grill just long enough to melt the chips and marshmallows. Remove careful as it will be hot and place on a plate or place in a bowl.

Take one dip of vanilla ice cream and place it on top of this wonderful creation.

Grab a spoon and dig in! Easy and delicious!
