The Delicious "Puttu"
PUTTU is a delicious south indian breakfast dish, especially in kerala. This can be consumed with banana, pappad, kadala curry, fish curry etc. puttu is made in a metal instrument known as "puttu cylinder". Puttu is a steamed preparation which is having a memorizing taste in hot form. Puttu is the Kerala's famous breakfast ever. There are certain varieties of puttu, they are chamba puttu, wheat puttu, chiratta puttu etc.
- 3 CUPS Rice flour
- 1 and half cup coconut grated
- 2 cup water
- very few salt
Preparation Of Puttu
Puttu is made by adding water slowly to rice flour until it becomes granules. Add a little salt and mix well.Then add the grated coconut into it and again mix well.When the mix becomes the correct wet, put it in a "PUTTU CYLINDER". Then add little more grated coconut over it. Both ends of Puttu cylinder are opened and a perforated lids is placed to allow the steam to pass through it.
After 15 minutes, take the cylinder and push the puttu to the plate and have the delicious food. At morning, it is one of the best to have.
