Taco Bell's New Menu Items, January 2020

Updated on January 31, 2020

January 2020

So far 2020 has not been off to a great start.

January is supposed to be the month dedicated to new beginnings, setting resolutions, and waiting to see what two teams will face each other in the Super Bowl.

Yet if we look back on the past month: it began with a call to donate to the Australian fires devastating their lands, then jumped right into the Wuhan Coronavirus spreading rapidly, multiple high magnitude earthquakes have taken lives, and most recently the infamous Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and seven others lost their lives in a helicopter crash.

The tragedies thus far have been ones that we must reflect on, ones that can't be ignored or forgotten. January 2020 has left us with broken hearts and crumbling lands.

Now that I have taken a moment to briefly go over the year as it's been so far, now onto the reason you clicked on this article.

The Double Stacked Tacos

These little gems hit the market early 2020 and made us wonder, why were we ever paying $4 for a cheesy gordita crunch when these are basically the same thing?

They came in the forms of Reaper Ranch, Nacho Crunch, and Chipotle Cheddar. In my opinion you must try all three to get a full, satisfying meal and also just to say you've tried them all. (like catching Pokemon)

You can get THREE OF THEM for cheaper than ONE cheesy gordita crunch- You'll be satisfied and saving $$$. It's a no-brainer!

Check out the video below where I give an in-depth taste test and review!

$1 Double Stacked Tacos VS $4 Cheesy Gordita Crunch

The Big One

Next came the big release: NACHO FRIES ARE BACK

Of course, only for a limited time so get them while you can.

But Taco Bell didn't want to do a regular ol' release of the nacho fries coming back for the 55th time, oh no. This time they came back with a friend- and his name is Buffalo Chicken.

SO perfect for the Super Bowl around the corner and also SO perfect in my belly. I taste tested the Buffalo Chicken Fries and they also came in a burrito form! (which I also had to try, duh.)

Taco Bell Has Buffalo Chicken Now!

Hidden Gem

With the release of the nacho fries with buffalo chicken smothering them, one new menu item sort of got pushed behind the scenes but demands to be heard.

The Double Cheesy Gordita Crunch is back! (also for a limited time)

Double the meat, double the cheese- Quadruple the deliciousness!

Bottom line, get in your car or catch a bus ride to your nearest Taco Bell before any (or all) of these fabulous menu items leave an empty space on the gleaming white board that holds a plethora of amazing food choices.

I'm excited to see what Taco Bell might fill those spaces with and, if this is how 2020 starts for them, I hope they'll continue this way throughout the year!

Thank you for reading, let me know in the poll below if you've had the honor of tasting any of these menu items!

Have you gotten your hands on any of these little pieces of heaven yet?
