Bread Machine Dough
Once again, I combined forces. I used my bread machine to make the dough, and then, used a medium saucepan to deep fry them. I used a blueberry pie filling to fill them.
It wasn't difficult. The one recipe called for buttermilk, and I had to substitute. To make a curdled milk, I used milk plus a teaspoon of vinegar. Otherwise, the recipe for dinner rolls seemed to match the recipe I found.
When you deep fry them, the outside browns, and the inside merges. The first tart my hubbie tried, was a little doughy he said. This might be because I deep fried two of them together. I think one at a time is best to maintain the heat of the oil. I could be wrong, since I didn't know until I was done and they were cooled. I did not try one, so I cannot - at this time - tell you my opinion.
