Chicken Tater Tot Casserole

This recipe has been used for years in our family. It is both tasty and nutritious. Tater Tot Casserole is easy to make and feeds a whole family for cheap. My family and I have had a hard time in the past with money. Being the mother I am, I started to combine different recipes that are both cheap and healthy. With Vegetables, Cheese, and Chicken all combined in one easy and affordable this makes the perfect meal for kids and adults.

Chicken Tater Tot Casserole

Yields: 8-12 Servings


  • 1 Regular Size Bag Tater Tots
  • 1 Big Bag Colby Jack Cheese, Shredded
  • 2 lbs Chicken Breast, Cubed
  • 2 Cans Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 Can Mixed Vegetables, Drained
  • 1 Can Pam Cooking Spray
  • 1 9" X 13" Baking Pan
  • 2 Large Mixing Bowls

How to make Chicken Tator Tot Casserole

  1. Preheat Oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Take the 9' X13" Baking pan and coat with the Pam Cooking Spray (to eliminate food sticking while cooking).
  3. Mix the Tater Tots and Mixed Vegetables in first large bowl.
  4. Mix the uncooked Cubed Chicken with the Cream of Chicken Soup in second large bowl. Stir in half bag of shredded cheese.
  5. Layer the Tater Tots and Mixed Vegetables in Baking Pan.
  6. Add the Uncooked Cubed Chicken, Cream of Chicken Soup, and the Half bag of Shredded Cheese on top the Tater Tots and Mixed Vegetables.
  7. Sprinkle the other Half Bag of Shredded Cheese on top of the Tater Tots, Cubed Chicken, Mixed Vegetables, and Cream of Chicken Soup.
  8. Insert into oven and let cook at 375 for 45 minutes or until chicken is cooked and cheese is browned on top.
  9. Take out and Serve when done. Enjoy!
