Updated on April 28, 2012

Summer is around the corner. Grills are being fired up. All kinds of summer drinks are needed during the hot dog days of summer. Sure, you might go for that beer, it is ice cold. But, maybe you might something delightfully tasty, fruity and packs a punch in the backyard on the lounge chair.

Most margaritas are NOT frozen, but is there a law that states is SHALL NOT be done? Huh, don't think so , so try the following recipe, then stick it in the freezer for a bit.

  • Six ounces of tequila, like Espolon ($20) 100% agave
  • Two cups of fresh pineapple juice
  • One cup of orange juice
  • One cup of cut up diced pineapple
  • One ounce of guava juice

Put all of the above into a blender, churn it until liquid. Stick in freezer for 5-10 minutes. Pour into glasses on the rocks. Put rim of glass in Kosher or sea salt before pouring.
