Review

As I wrote at the top of this hub: "I was sent a free copy of The Longevity Kitchen Satisfying, Big-Flavor Recipes Featuring the Top 16 Age-Busting Power Foods [120 Recipes for Vitality and Optimal Health] by Rebecca Katz with Mat Edelson, Foreword by Andrew Weil, MD for free in exchange only for my honest and unbiased review."

First off I have to say that I like the fact that this cookbook has a table of contents. This is one simple feature that may cookbooks lack, but that make it a lot easier on the reader. I also liked that many of the main ingredients in the recipes were written about in detail. The book goes into the benefits of all the different super food ingredients.

The images of the book are not nearly as many as I would have liked, but they are mouth watering in nature. The recipes next to the mouth watering pictures are well laid out with a section for everything. The recipes are written in easy to understand language.

The only real fault with this book for me is the amount of space it uses talking abut aspects of food that are not recipes. I truly miss the cookbooks that were just that cookbooks. No lectures or textbook style information provided. This book could have had so many more recipes if not for this. Now I do feel this aspect of the book may appeal to a lot of people, but for me I like the quick and easy version.

It is still a newer book, so it might come to a local store soon. You could also get it through amazon.
