The Ultimate Chocolate Oreo Dessert

I confess I have this thing for Oreo Cookies and I'm always using them to try to come up with a dessert to die for. In this one I'm going to present for you here I think I've come up with the ultimate Chocolate Oreo Dessert.

In this dessert we have a crust made out of crushed Oreo Cookies, a center of white chocolate mousse and a top of chocolate mousse. We garnished each slice of this oh so wonderful dessert with a Oreo Cookie.

I just got through making one of these a few minutes ago and it's not that hard to make. I bet if you make one of these that people will love it. The flavors here are truly some of the best in the world.

You can if you wish and have some large long stemmed glasses make and serve this delicious Oreo Chocolate dish in the glasses. I've even done them in large ice cream cones and the people I served them to thought they were delicious.

How To Make Oreo Cookie Crumbs

The easiest way to make Oreo Cookie Crumbs is to do it in a food processor. If you have one of the food processors that you can drop things into while it's running that will be perfect. I put the metal blade in my food processor and once it's running I drop my Oreos into the food processor a couple at a time and let the food processor do the work of cutting them up into crumbs. I take my Oreo Cookie Crumbs and I line a 9 inch glass pie pan with the Oreo Cookie crumbs on the bottom and sides of the pie pan. You can buy a Chocolate Graham Cracker Crust but it will never have the taste of a homemade Oreo Cookie crust. If your going to make the Ultimate Chocolate Oreo Dessert then by all means take the time to make the homemade Oreo Cookie Crust for your dessert.

How To Make White Chocolate Mousse

Don't be put off by making your own White Chocolate Mousse because it's not that hard. In fact it's really quite easy. Just follow the instructions and I bet you'll love it. Just don't eat to much of it.

White Chocolate Mousse Strawberry Dessert

You can fill the bottom of small glass dessert dishes with the white chocolate mousse and then put a layer of thin cut strawberries on top of that. You finish with a topping of Cool Whip Topping and you have a delightful dessert everyone will love.

White Chocolate Mousse Ingredients

1. Twelve Ounces White Chocolate For Baking Cut Up Into Small Pieces.

2. Three Cups Heavy Whipping Cream Divided.

3. One Half Cup Confectioners Sugar.

4. One Tablespoon Vanilla Extract.

You want to start by microwaving the white chocolate and half the cream in a microwave safe bowl until the chocolate is melted. It shouldn't take much over a minute in most modern microwaves.

Now with an electric hand mixer in another bowl beat the remaining cream, confectioners sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form and then stop. You now want to slowly mix the melted chocolate mixture into the beaten cream mixture and slowly mix the two together. Put the White Chocolate Mousse in the refrigerator until your ready to put your dessert together.

How To Make Chocolate Mousse

Chocolate Mousse is easier to make than White Chocolate Mouse and it's so delicious it's almost sinful.

Chocolate Mousse Ingredients

1. One Regular Size Package Instant Jello Chocolate Pudding.

2. One And One Half Cups Whole Milk.

3. One Sixteen Ounce Package Whipped Topping Thawed.

And there you have it. You just made the Ultimate Chocolate Oreo Dessert. And I guarantee you that people will love it and wonder how you ever made anything that tastes that wonderful.

Make the instant pudding with one and a half cups of whole milk instead of the two cups called for on the package. Once you have the instant pudding made you want to slowly add in the sixteen ounce container of whipped topping. If you have a stand mixer it's the perfect thing to make this chocolate mousse with. Click that link and check out a great stand mixer.

Okay now we have the three ingredients you will need to make your Ultimate Chocolate Oreo Dessert with.

Step 1

Make your Oreo Cookie Crumb Crust in a nine inch pie pan. Line the bottom of the pie pan with the Oreo Cookie Crumbs and the sides of the pie pan also. Carefully press the crumbs across the bottom and up the sides to make a great Oreo Cookie Pie Crust.

Step 2

Take your chilled White Chocolate Mousse out of the refrigerator and put a layer of the White Chocolate Mousse into the pie pan on top of your Oreo Cookie Crumb Pie Crust. Press the mousse down into the Oreo Crumb Cookie Crust.

Step 3

Now take your Chocolate Mousse and put a layer of the Chocolate Mousse into the Pie Shell on top of the White Chocolate Mousse.

Step 4

Lay a whole Oreo Cookie on the top of where each slice of the Ultimate Chocolate Oreo Dessert will be.

And just because I suggested making it into a pie is no reason you have to. I have these really pretty clear glass dessert dishes and I'll often make this dessert in those glasses. When I do this I often add a layer of strawberries sliced really thin or what ever berries are in season or for sale in the supermarket.

There Are All Kinds Of Ways To Make This Delicious Dessert

I've also made this dessert in a really large three quart glass dish I have that stands up on a foot and when I make it this way I put the Oreo Cookie Crumbs in the bottom and then I put in a layer of fresh strawberries in glaze then I put the rest of the dessert together and people say wow when they see it. At large parties I've made the big one and then made little ones and set them around it. People are always amazed at how very delicious this dessert is and if they don't see you make it they will think it must have took hours to make. But it doesn't.

You can make White Chocolate or Chocolate Mousse and make all kinds of rich tasty desserts out of one or both of them. I quite often take a small dessert dish and put a layer of chocolate mousse in the bottom. Then I put a layer of Oreo Cookie Crumbs and then a layer of strawberries in glaze. I top the dish with whipped topping and a slice of strawberry for a garnish for a different take on a strawberry shortcake.

And as I said above I've made this dessert in ice cream waffle cones, regular ice cream cones and many other ways. Once you know how to make the White Chocolate Mousse and the Chocolate Mousse you can make all kinds of wonderful tasty desserts. Your only limited by your imagination. Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries all go great with both types of mousse so see what you can come up with.
