To welcome the holidays we decided to bake sugar cookies. Is there anything better than homemade cookie? Making sugar cookies is such a fun thing to do with the kids.

These sugar cookies come together with only 6 ingredients: flour, vanilla, baking soda, butter, sugar and egg.


  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk or almond milk
  • 1 cup coconut oil

  • In a large bowl, beat 1 cups powdered sugar, 1 cup of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon vanilla, butter and 1/4 cup coconut milk and mix it thoroughly.
  • Then after add cornstarch, all purpose flour and baking soda and blend it properly.
  • The dough will look dry, just keep mixing, add a little more milk until it comes together. If it is too wet, add some flour to maintain it's consistency.
  • Cover and refrigerate for while to start next step.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fº
  • Line a cookie sheet on parchment paper or butter paper.
  • Roll dough half to 1/4 inch thickness and cut out with cookie cutters.
  • Place this shapes on the cookie sheet and bake 5-6 minutes until the tops are no longer glossy and they have puffed up.
  • To make soft sugar cookies make sure you do not over bake them.
  • Don't wait for edges begin to turn golden brown.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring on a wire rack.
  • Frost sugar cookies with a vanilla buttercream.

These are my favorite Christmas Cookies! Buttery Christmas cookies are a lot like sugar cookies. There is no baking soda needed,


  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond
  • 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • sprinkles, chocolate chips, melted chocolate to decorate


  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • In large bowl beat butter, sugar and salt until blended and fluffy.
  • Beat in egg, vanilla and all purpose flour into creamed mixture.
  • Beat until properly blended.
  • Use cookie press fitted with a disk of your choice.
  • Press dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 6-8 minutes. Make sure do not brown.
  • Transfer cookies to wire rack to cool.
  • In a small bowl, mix Melted chocolate candy and water to reach desired consistency to decorate as desired.
  • Sprinkle colored sugars as desired on frosting before it dries.

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened


  • Preheat oven to 375°F degrees
  • In a bowl mix together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl mix butter, peanut butter nad sugar, for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy mixture.
  • Mix in egg and vanilla until smooth
  • Add flour mixture and stir until combined.
  • Cover dough and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • Roll dough into balls then place on baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  • Allow to cool on baking sheet, then transfer to a cooling rack.

  • 4 Cups All purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 tsp.vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup molasses


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a mixing bowl mix together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • In the bowl cream together sugar and butter until well combined.
  • Mix egg yolk and vanilla.
  • Mix in molasses and milk and blend for proper mixing.
  • Add flour mixture to butter mixture until combined, add some milk if some needed.
  • Divide dough into two equal portions
  • Refrigerate dough for 20 minutes.
  • Cut into shapes using cookie cutters on baking sheets.
  • Bake in preheated oven around 8 minutes.
  • Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
  • Decorate with icing and sprinkles as desired.

No Bake Cookies


  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats


  • Melt the butter in bowl.
  • Stir in the sugar and cocoa powder, followed by the milk.
  • Boil the mixture to make it thicken.
  • Stir in the vanilla and peanut butter, followed by the oats.
  • Drop the cookies by spoon or cookie scoop onto parchment paper.
  • Then let the cookies cool until they become hardened.
  • Store the cookies in room temperature in airtight container.
