Sourdough Makes A Better Waffle
Due to the natural fermentation of sourdough, these waffles are lower in gluten, have a lower glycemic response, and higher nutrition than regular waffles. - 2 cups sourdough
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg
- 4 tablespoons olive oil or grape seed oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 tablespoons warm water
- Heat the waffle iron.
- In a large bowl, mix together the sourdough, sugar, egg and oil.
- Dissolve the teaspoon of baking soda into the 3 tablespoons of water.
- Add the dissolved baking soda to the batter and mix well.
- Bake in hot waffle iron.
