I'm from Italy, country famous for its food. I love true Italian food... and yeah, also love to drink a Frappuccino when I am abroad!

American & Italian Pizzas

In one of my previous hubs I talked about differences between American & Italian pizzas! It is easy to find American pizza all around the world (chains like Pizza Hut and Domino's Pizza are everywhere), however it is more difficult to find Italian pizza outside Italy (or to find it at a reasonable price). You can rely on local pizzerias maintained by Italian people, but if you live in a small city it may be difficult to find one: instead, if you live in a big city, you can eat Italian pizza more easily. In addition to local pizzerias maintained by Italian people, you can also eat authentic Neapolitan-style pizza in some Italian chains, firstly opened in Italy and nextly expanded all around the world. In this article I will talk about two of the most popular chains serving Neapolitan pizza: Rossopomodoro & Fratelli La Bufala.

One of the main Italian chains specialized in Neapolitan food and in serving true Neapolitan pizza. Rossopomodoro is available in many places of the world, in order to bring a full Neapolitan experience to everyone, wherever he is, at any moment!

Have you ever eaten Italian pizza?

Rossopomodoro

Rossopomodoro is one of the main Italian chains specialized in cooking true Neapolitan pizza. You can find its restaurants in big Italian cities, and also abroad. It serves various types of wood-baked oven pizzas, including the traditional margherita (with tomato, mozzarella cheese and basil) and verace (with tomato, buffalo milk mozzarella, olive oil and basil). You can even find pasta, some appetizers (including the traditional bruschetta) and desserts. Finally you can also eat traditional buffalo milk mozzarella served in the dish (an entire mozzarella of 500g).

In addition, every restaurant has also a secondary section, called the puteca, in which you can buy traditional Neapolitan food (every restaurant gets their ingredients from Naples), so that you can even cook true Neapolitan pizza at home! You can find a Rossopomodoro restaurant near you by going to the official website and you can even reserve a table online. Also Google Maps can help you! In cities like London & New York, for example, you can find Rossopomodoro restaurants (as long as other Italian chains and even pizzerias owned by Italian people living abroad).

When you come to a Rossopomodoro restaurant, you will deal with Neapolitan people (obviously they are also able to speak English), and in general you will be able to get a taste of Neapolitan culture (sometimes you can even listen to local music). Finally, if you ask for their rewards card, you can earn points and get discounts on your pizza orders or when you go to their restaurants.

Both in Rossopomodoro and Fratelli La Bufala restaurants you can find delicious desserts carefully served.

Fratelli La Bufala

It is another Italian chain which serves authentic Neapolitan pizza. Like Rossopomodoro, you can find this chain all around the world, however there are less restaurants: for example, on the Fratelli La Bufala website are listed only two places in all the USA: one in Miami and another in Kusadasi (Avdin). The menu consists of various types of pizzas, desserts, pasta, salads (including the famous caprese) and you can also eat buffalo milk mozzarella.

Basically, you can find Italian pizza even outside Italy, and these chains make this even more simple! So you can experience both American and Italian tastes when you want to order a pizza, and you can choose the one you prefer. You should only remember it is easier to find an Italian pizzeria in big cities than in small towns. You should only pay attention to the restaurant or pizzeria you have discovered: a lot of italian places are opened outside Italy, but they don't propose true Italian cuisine at the fact. So basically it is better to choose that places you are really sure are maintained by Italian people, otherwise you can rely on Rossopomodoro, Fratelli La Bufala, Eataly and other similar chains, in which you are sure you will eat true Italian pizza, wherever you are!

Did you know the existence of these Neapolitan pizza chains before reading this hub?
