Things you can do with vinegar

Here are some very useful things you can do with vinegar in the home.

Wash Windows and Glass

Instead of buying that expensive window cleaning solution why not use some good old fashioned malt vinegar. It does not cost a lot and it does the job! All you need to do is put one part vinegar to three parts water in a spray bottle. Shake the mixture throughly before using it. Use newspaper instead of a damp cloth, this will prevent smearing and will give you the shine you desire. Spray the mixture on to the window or mirror and use the newspaper to wipe it off.

Rinse your hair

Did you know that you can use vinegar to rinse your hair. If your hair has a lot of product build up, place one part vinegar in a bucket of three parts water. Pour the mixture over clean hair and rinse off warm water. Your scalp will be clean and debris free.

Clean the Toilet

You can clean your toilet with a little bit of vinegar and some baking soda. Put one two parts water and one part vinegar into a bucket. Put one tablespoon of baking soda into the mixture and pour down the toilet. Leave the mixture to settle for 10 minutes then flush scrub the toilet with a toilet brush. Flush the toilet and pour a bucket of boiling hot water down the toilet and flush it again.

SoreThroat Remedy

You can use vinegar to help soothe a sore throat. Put one tablespoon of malt or apple cider vinegar into a cup and top it with warm water. Add one teaspoon of salt and gargle the mixture until it is finished. Do this two to three times a day.

Skin Burns

Put cold vinegar directly on to a burn, this will prevent blisters and scarring and will provide instant relief.

Prevent Mildew

To prevent mildew build up your bathroom or kitchen, wipe your walls down with vinegar soaked cloth.

Unblock Drains

Instead of buying expensive products to unclog your drains, use a mixture of warm water and vinegar and pour it down your drains and sinks.

Your title caught my attention. I use vinegar for a lot of things around my home. I wrote a hub also called Vinegar a nontoxic product listing the ways I use it. It is truly a wonderful inexpensive useful product.
