Black Berry Cobbler

In this hub I want to share a delicious Black Berry Cobbler recipe.. It is a great way to use up your black berries if they are growing like wild on your black berry vine. This recipe is very easy to prepare and doesn't require too much preparation.

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 & 1.2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Corn Flour or Flour
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 4 Cups Black Berries
  • 1 Tablespoon Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter

Black Berry Cobbler Instructions

  1. Firstly preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius so by the time you have prepared the dessert the oven is at the right temperature.
  2. Now it is time to start preparing your biscuit topping to do this add 1 cup of flour, 2 Tablespoons of sugar, 1 & 1/2 Teaspoons of Baking Powder and 1/4 Teaspoon of salt in a large mixing bowl and mix together.
  3. Now add 1/4 of a cup of butter to your mixture and rub the butter in until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Now add 1/4 of a cup of Milk and 1 Egg and mix well and set aside.
  5. Now to prepare your filling add 4 cups of black berries, 1/2 a cup of sugar, 1/4 Teaspoon of Cinnamon, 1 Tablespoon of Butter and 1 Tablespoon of Water to a large pot and cook the filling down for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Now find your self a medium sized baking dish and add your filling to the baking dish.
  7. Now get your biscuit topping and spoon it on top and bake in your oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 20-30 minutes or until the biscuit topping is nice & golden.
