Vintage Ateco Icing Set

Ateco has been making icing sets for a long time. The one I am writing about in this hub is the one that I prefer. I picked one up and absolutely love it. These older ones are build to last forever. With a primarily steel construction, you really can't beat the quality of these older ones. The vintage mid century sets are very much in demand still because of their quality construction.

The tips are made of steel as well, and while they may be a bit more labor intensive to clean than plastic, nothing quite beats the feeling of using a nice set like this when icing up that cake! The best part about these old ones is that there are so many different tips! This box contains over 15 different ones. Many more are available on Ebay. I picked mine up at a thrift shop but that was quite a lucky score.

When buying these, you want to make sure that the tips are not bent out of place or rusted. Also, another important thing to remember is that these push air through the hole and so the pushing mechanism should be air tight and push air forcefully.

I hope you enjoyed this hub! If you liked it would you subscribe for more? Do you love treasure hunting, selling on Ebay, or just learning about cool vintage stuff?
