Ingredients

  • 1 small watermelon
  • 1/2 of juice of one lime
  • 1 pinch cardamom

Watermelon Drink or Slushy Instructions

  1. The watermelon may be seedless or not. If you have diverticulitis do NOT leave the seeds in. This recipe is fine with the seeds blended up and left in.
  2. Remove the pink flesh from the watermelon and blend to smooth. Add the juice from ½ of a lime. Add a pinch of cardamom. Stir. Drink cooled or freeze to eat later like a slushy or Italian Ice. This is a nice evening cooler.

Watermelon Heathy and Refreshing Drink for Summertime Heat

Watermelon Refresher Recipe

This is a drink for your health during the oppressively hot weather. It cools the body and helps relieve the swelling experienced by many due to excessive heat. It is also a great way to eat watermelon.

This is a nice evening cooler. Drink the cooled juice or eat the frozen juice after work at home and it will help you cool your body off.

This is a very old Ayurvedic recipe to cool off the body in the heat of an Indian summer. It works great and tastes great too.

How to buy cardamom at a friendly price

Cardamom can be very expensive to purchase. Go to a store that sells herbs from bins. Purchase a bit of the cardamom. This will bring the price down from $10 a jar to .50 for a small amount more than sufficient for this and other recipes. My store of choice is Sprouts.

Easy Clean-Up

it is summer and I like to keep my work time in the kitchen very short. So, I don't like washing up my big blender so, I use an Electric Stick Blender as noted below.
