What I Did Today - I Made Some Spinach Pockets

Updated on April 29, 2014

Spinach Pockets

I am pretty sure they have a different name but this is what I have started calling them but we are just going to have to go with the name I have chosen: Spinach Pockets

Spinach and cheese within puff pastry - What do you call them? Other than really really nice that is!

What you will need...

For these tasty, filling and healthy pieces of scrummy food you will need:

- Puff pastry, ready made is quickest but if you can and want to you could make your own. One pack, like in the video, will make twelve spinach pockets.

- Spinach. Frozen or "real" is fine. A single box or TWO bags of spinach.

- Feta cheese

- Cheddar cheese

- Cream cheese

- An egg (to coat the pastry when it cooks)

- Grease proof paper

- Time

Have a look at what I did!!

On the whole...

I had quite a good time making these and of course eating them. You do not really have to stick to one sort of filling if you wanted to you could fill some with cabbage, mince and onions or even pilchards and acorns. It is best to experiment I think.

Let me know if you know of a good filling that I have overlooked!

A question...

Does it bother you that I have started writing less than I did in earlier hubs?

I found your spinach pockets very appealing, a nice and quick way to make some comfort food. Good idea for nibbles as well.
