I'm from Italy, country famous for its food. I love true Italian food... and yeah, also love to drink a Frappuccino when I am abroad!

The Coffee's Empire

Starbucks is surely the most popular coffehouse chain in the world. In several countries you can find a Starbucks coffeehouse, while in other places (like Italy) you will not find it. At Starbucks you can drink coffee and also several other beverages: tea, chocolate, orange juice and much more! One of the most famous beverages, invented by this coffee chain, is the Frappuccino, which is a frappè made with coffee and blended with ice and an ingredient of your choice (caramel, strawberry, chocolate and much more) and often topped with whipped cream. Starbucks is very popular in the main culture and is also appreciated by celebrities (it is not uncommon to find celebrities who take selfies with their Starbucks drink).

But a Starbucks Store is not only a coffeehouse: in fact the chain is also famous for their desserts, so that you can have a complete breakfast at Starbucks, with a dessert and a coffee. But that's not all: you can find several types of dishes, so that you can even have lunch or dinner when you are out of home and have to enjoy a fast meal. Here are listed all the products you can buy at Starbucks. However note that you won't find all this food in every Starbucks Store!

Bakery Products

At Starbucks you will find various types of bakery products. These are typical desserts: croissants, doughnuts, slices of cakes, cookies (for example, the Frappuccino cookie, with chocolate and butter, with is shaped like the Frappuccino cup, or the chocolate chip cookie), muffins and also some salad food, like "Everything with cheese bagel", pumpkin bread and pepperoni&tomato savory foldover. These bakery products are very good for a breakfast (baked desserts can be associated with a good cup of coffee) or for a rapid snack. Especially doughnuts are very famous among coffeehouses which also sell desserts, but you can find various products in addition. Or just enjoy a classic breakfast with croissant and coffee. You can find also gluten-free desserts among Starbucks bakery products. The good fact about Starbucks baked products is that you can find classic ones and at the same time you can find particular ones. You should only pay attention when you eat one of these products, to balance your next meals, as some of these products (like doughnuts obviously) cointain some fats (this is the same also for other products and, in general, also for fast food products).

Fast Meals

Obviously when I state you can have a meal at Starbucks I don't mean a complete meal like you can have at a restaurant: remember Starbucks is still a coffeehouse chain, not a restaurants chain, so you can have a rapid meal with a sandwich. Starbucks offers a good choice of sandwiches, there are various types, also in this case from the classical ones to the most other various types, from the simplest sandwiches to the most complex ones. Two examples of classical and simple sandwiches are the Ham & Swiss Panini (with ham and swiss cheese) and the Roasted Tomato & Mozzarella Panini (with tomato, mozzarella, spinach and basil pesto, that don't taste exactly like the same ingredients you can find in Italy, but they can be a good choice when you are abroad). I report the nutritional facts of Ham & Swiss Panini as an example (source: Starbucks website). Other types of sandwiches are more complex and contain different types of ingredients (like chicken for example) and are probably more appreciated by American people, who often eat these type of ingredients. With a Starbucks sandwich you can have a fast meal when you are out of home and not have so much time to eat a complete meal. You could give it a try as an alternative to specific popular fast food chains. In addition to sandwiches, you can also find Bistro Boxes, that are boxes containing various types of food (for example, the Prosciutto & Mozzarella Pinwheels Bistro Box and the Thai-Style Peanut Chicken Wrap). These are rapid meal solutions made of little portions of different food types, also fruit, and can be an alternative to sandwiches. Finally, whatever meal you have eaten (sandwich or bistro box), you can end with a pot of fruit and/or a Evolution Fresh Greek yogurt with cherry, honey & fresh berries or strawberry.
