What is Your Favourite Vegetable?

Glendon and his wife have led church ministries, conducted empowerment seminars, and travelled to faraway places on business and vacation.

Now that’s a tricky one, I mean, who really likes to categorise vegetables along those lines? We eat them because we know that they are good for us, we eat them because we are hungry, but I wonder if we would eat vegetables at all if we could do better.

For persons on a slim budget the vegetables that you can cook and eat with your starch would likely top the list; your tomato (which is really a fruit), cabbage, and eggplant would fall in that category. Because of it’s versatility I suppose tomato would come out the all time winner.

My favourite cooked vegetable is cabbage, lightly steamed with a little oil, and seasoned with onions and scallion.  Even nicer if you have some diced carrots in the mix as well as some tomatoes.

My choice of favourite raw vegetable is all health: broccoli.  Great to prevent cancer.  And very nutritious.

My kids are right with you. They avoid veggies at all costs. My favorite vegetable is carrots. I also like salad with all types of raw veggies mixed in.

Tell them to do like me. Eat a whole lot for my health. Juice it too. I love to eat vegetables. I don't love vegetables. Fruits now! Wow!

I must admit that lightly cooked vegetables are tastier than raw, yet I prefer raw for health.

Thanks again for the visit. Same battle with my kids too.
