What kind of tea do you like to drink?
Tea has been around for a long time and we all have really enjoyed the luxuries of tea in the many flavors that they come in. Of course, you may be wondering where tea comes from, so here it is. Tea comes from one kind of plant, camellia sinensis, the leaves are dried and processed. There are so many types of teas but I will really only discuss three types of main teas that many people probably drink.
First comes the green tea. I really enjoy drinking green tea, at first I didn't really like the taste of green tea but then I started drinking it and now it is one of my favorite teas to drink. Green tea is lower in caffeine and have higher antioxidant. I have heard that green tea can also help in weight loss, now that is something that makes it worth drinking green tea. The reason green tea can help lose weight is because it is a good fat burner. A study is being done to see whether green tea helps with cancer and that would be very interesting because imagine how much people would be drinking green tea. Green tea can also help lower one's cholesterol and who doesn't want lower cholesterol.
Green tea is also good for the heart. It may be able to help reduce the risk of have a heart attack. However, as much studies that one can do on green tea, it still isn't proven all the way that it can really help the heart or even approved. With all this being studied, green tea still has good health benefits and is still good to drink.
Then there is Black tea. Black tea has the most caffeine, yet it does have its health benefits. Studies have been done to show that black tea can help protect the lungs from cigarette smoke. This type of tea can also help reduce the risk of a stroke. Alot of people drink this kind of tea and there are times that it can keep someone up but it is worth drinking to help improve your health.
We now come to the white tea, this type of tea is uncured and unfermented. I don't know how many people drink this kind of tea but it is known to help with cancer than the other processed teas. I have tasted white tea with berry flavor that come in bottles in packages of 24 at times. It does have a good taste, I have yet to taste it from tea bags. I think I will try that soon.
So which tea is your favorite? There are so many types of teas out there that it is hard to think of only one. Can you think of your favorite tea? Do you prefer hot tea or iced tea, or both? I believe it is now time for tea, who cares to join me!
