Great Easy Old Fashioned Chocolate Fudge Recipe
The Benefits of Chocolate
I’m not going to get on here and try to convince anyone that chocolate is the greatest health food choice in the world, but studies are showing that it is good for your heart, may help reduce blood pressure and is not as high in ‘bad’ fat as once was thought. And then there’s the endorphins it creates making us generally feel good. Don’t believe me? Check out the Cleveland Clinic’s website and do a search for “The Health Benefits of Chocolate”.
This fudge is easy and it tastes fantastic! As long as you don’t eat the whole pan, do yourself a favor and take a little bit of those chocolate health benefits in.
Instructions
- As soon as you get home, pull out a sauce pan and mix together 4 cups of sugar, 1 can of evaporated milk and 1 stick of butter.
- Bring to a boil and continue boiling for exactly five and a half minutes.
- Lightly spray a 13 x 9 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Remove from heat and mix in 2 teaspoons of vanilla and ½ cup of peanut butter.
- Break up the 3 bars of German Sweet Chocolate and add the 2 bags of chocolate chips and finally the marshmallow crème.
- The final product will be thick—transfer the fudge to the baking pan and smooth it into the pan.
- After it has cooled, cover with saran wrap. It should be ready to eat in about 2 hours.
