Life in General

I know it's been awhile, but with our honeymoon, back to school, and tending to our house and garden I have been swamped. If anyone out there thinks being a homemaker is easy, umm no. If you are a mom that works outside of the home you get days off. Being a homemaker there are no "days off". Sure kids are back in school now, but in my world all that means is catching up on everything I couldn't do over the summer. School has been back in session in our district for a couple of weeks now. The first day I cleaned, and I mean deep cleaned the house (I even cleaned the inside and outside of the washer, dryer, and dishwasher). We took down our pool, kids don't need that anymore the temps here in Illinois have been lower than usual....until we took it down! Very next day 95 degrees out with heat index of 105 degrees. I mean seriously mother nature, is that all you were waiting for? Ha! We have also started painting our living room, I kind of put that on hold because I don't like to paint with the windows shut. I have half of our living room done, and put back together, and it looks AWESOME! I have also been blanching some zucchini so I can freeze it (right out of our garden!) I'm telling you this year has been crazy for zucchini, I've made 9 loaves of zucchini bread. I had never had it before this year, but I had been told it tastes like banana bread. It is pretty close in taste, and my family really enjoyed it. The last 2 loaves I ran out of walnuts so I added chocolate chips instead, YUM! If you would like to try my super easy recipe for zucchini bread, I am posting it! :-)

Cleaning Tasks

Today I am wanting to clean my oven, I was searching on Pinterest, and found a few different methods. Of course I'm going to try them, and see what works best. I have one other task at hand today. We recently got new furniture, and of course some how along the way the new chair that is tan got the green paint from the walls on it. As you all know, if you are married, or have children you live with; it wasn't me, I didn't do it, and how'd that happen?? No one knows who did it, but that doesn't matter as much as getting the paint off the chair. I have a couple of suggestions I am going to try, and first up is the magic eraser. I'm hoping it works, but you just never know until you try it. I will let you all know how that works too.

Easy Zucchini Bread

This is by far one of the moistest zucchini breads you will have, and it's easy to make. I always try to find recipes that are simple, and still taste complex.
