A Rib Eye Steak You Won't Believe

If you like rib eye steak then I guarantee you that this recipe for rib eye steak makes a rib eye that is moist , delicious and so easy to prepare. To make this steak all you will need is a couple of cans of Pepsi or Coke , garlic powder , salt , pepper , BBQ sauce and bacon.

You will want to start out by scoring your steaks on both sides with a sharp knife in a diamond pattern. Sprinkle both sides of your rib eyes with the powdered garlic , salt and black pepper being sure to rub your seasonings in well to make sure your rib eye steaks are well seasoned.

Now place your rib eye steaks into a glass or plastic dish and cover them with the Coke or Pepsi. Set them in the refrigerator for 4 hours. After 4 hours pour off the marinade and coat each side of your rib eyes with a thin layer of your BBQ sauce.

Now wrap bacon around your steaks and use wooden tooth picks to keep your bacon in place. Grill your rib eyes on a pre-heated grill until they are cooked how you desire. Remove from the grill and place on serving plates. These rib eyes are excellent served with stuffed baked potatoes and broccoli with cheese.

And I guarantee you that if you follow the directions you will find that you have just cooked the best rib eyes you will ever eat. When I prepare these rib eyes I use well marbled one pound rib eyes for the recipe and they turn out delicious.

If your local grocery store or supermarket carries it I would suggest purchasing and using applewood bacon for the above recipe. It really enhances the flavor of the rib eye steak. You can really use your favorite BBQ sauce for the recipe.

I also like it wrapped in Canadian Bacon for a bit more subtle Bacon flavor. Also, place on BBQ grill and let the heat slowly drink all the juice from the bacon into the meat. Time it right and you can get it from Mid-Medium Pink to Almost well with a bit of pink based on preference. Definitely serve with a stack of fried onions and grilled mushrooms. A true Scot Ale or a Guinness aids the experience immensely. David Russell
