Here's a great recipe for slaw to go on hotdogs.

Tips For Making Great Hot Dogs

Here are some really great tips for making the best hot dogs in the world.

While there are hot dog wieners out there made of pork, chicken, and turkey those made of beef will always taste the best. I eat only all beef hot dogs and the reason for this is that mustard, slaw, onion, garlic, and paprika taste the best on a all beef hot dog. I don't know if they have Hebrew National Hot Dogs where you live but if they do you should buy those. They taste the best of any hot dog wiener on the market.

Hot dogs cooked on a charcoal grill will always turn out the best and will taste the best. You need to cook your all beef wieners over indirect heat. You can do this by using a large enough grill and the charcoal fire goes on one side while the hot dog wieners get cooked over on the other side of the grill. You really need a grill with a pull down lid to keep the heat in.

I make my slaw by the recipe here on this Hub Page and I make sure that I keep it cold until it goes on the hot dog. I make my own chili and if you want a really great recipe for a chili that will taste just perfect on your hot dogs then CLICK HERE NOW.

Great Alternative If You Can't Grill Your Hot Dog Wieners

If you can't grill your hot dog wieners then put them in a pot and cover them with Budweiser Beer. You want the hot dog wieners to be covered with the beer and you will want to bring them to a boil and then turn the burner down to medium. Cook the wieners until they are hot all the way through. Hot dog wieners turn out really great cooked in beer.

Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs Cooked On The Grill Are Delicious

Wrap your hot dog wieners tightly with bacon and secure it with tooth picks before you grill them on the grill over indirect heat. You want to cook them slow so that the bacon around the hot dogs will get cooked crisp and done and the hot dog wieners will be hot all the way through.

Make Slashes Across Your Hot Dog Wieners Before Wrapping With Bacon

Take a knife and make slash marks up and down your hot dogs before you cook them on the grill or before you wrap them with bacon. Be sure to secure the bacon with tooth picks and remember to remove the tooth picks before putting your hot dogs on the buns.

Inject Your All Beef Hot Dogs With Budweiser Beer

If you have a marinade injection needle you can inject Budweiser Beer into your all beef hot dogs before you grill them on the grill. Budweiser Beer works the best and it will give the grilled hot dog wieners a wonderful flavor.

Fine Diced Yellow Onions Work Best On Hot Dogs

You'll find that yellow onions peeled and diced up fine will taste the best on your hot dogs. I like to dice them ahead of time and put them into a plastic container with a tight fitting lid to keep the onion smell in the container with the onions and out of my refrigerator. Well chilled onions will always taste the best on your hot dogs.

Worlds Best Hot Dogs

Hot Dogs known as Slaw Dogs are popular from West Virginia down to Florida. And on this hub page I'm going to show you exactly how to prepare the perfect slaw dog and what I consider to be the Worlds Best Hot Dog.

In the southern USA including West Virginia the chili never has beans. No not ever. And really chili for hot dogs bears little resemblance to Texas Chili though you Can Click Here for a great no beans chili that is great on hot dogs. And below is a recipe for Hot Dog Chili.

Hot Dog Chili Recipe

1. One Pound Lean Ground Beef.

Years back while at UNC, I had slaw dogs.but I'm no great fan. Nathan's in Coney Island set too high a standard. Not only meaty and filling, they were topped with mustard and sauerkraut cost a dime, a beer a nickel. But, the best Dog ever was during Oktoberfest in Munich at the Hofbrau House where the Dogs had to be half-pounders piled with sauerkraut and came with a hot salted pretzel, with beer by the pitcher. Talk about a party. Wow!! Daavid Russell
