The dish starts with 18 carat gold spoon and a baccarat crystal goblet that is actually used in the Vatican. Then comes 23 carat edible gold and then some rarest chocolate in the world is added. 3 more scoops of vanilla ice cream and topped with high quality almonds coated with 18 carat gold. Decorations with sugar flower that itself takes 18 hours to construct, ends with passion fruit caviar which is salt free so it goes well with ice cream and then finally adding pure gold dusting for a glittering final touch!!! I went to New York City from the UK where I live and I purchased this golden desert treat! I lo0o0o0o0o0o0o0ved it but my colleague thought it was a pitiful excuse for ice cream, nevermind gold. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Even if that ice were free I don't think I would eat it. Edible gold? Isn't gold for wearing and not for eating! I have to admit that they must of put a lot of time and effort to make it. I would much rather buy something that would last a while than buying something that only lasts five minutes.

Wow! it certainly does look delicious but there are a lot of things I could do with $1000 so I will have to turn down the $1000 ice cream. Very interesting

Well I am an hour from New York - so I'm going to go there, find a standard icecream store and walk around with 300 icecreams instead of one!!!

Great hub - wonder how many they actually sell! WOW!
