Healthy Yogurt Dip

Yogurt makes a great base for a dip that can be eaten with veggies, chips, or crackers.

Not only is this dip delicious, but it is also very healthy. Yogurt that has live and active cultures contains good bacteria, which is great for the digestive tract. Yogurt is also a good source of protein and calcium. It is clear that a yogurt-based dip is a healthier choice than the standard store-bought dips or sour cream-based dips.

Cook Time

Yields: 1 serving


  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • salt, to taste


  1. Combine all ingredients and stir.
  2. Refrigerate for at least four hours for best results. You may eat immediately, if desired. However, the minced onion will perform better if you wait.
